                                    The Future is Bright

The AIC Men's soccer team has a very bright future ahead of them. They are returning 9 out of there 11 starters next year. They were led by an attack made out of 5 freshmen and 1 sophomore. The defensive line is taking a big hit with the loss of Lasse Olrik, the most consistent defender all season for the Yellow Jackets. Another huge defensive loss, is the loss of senior goalkeeper Sebastian
Tamayo, who has easily been the top goalkeeper in the Northeast-10 conference over career at AIC.

The leader in points was Jake Durham, a freshman. Steven Hernandez came in second and Alejandro Alvarez was third for overall points. The team was very young and they are very excited to get back to work and pick back where they left off.

The Northeast-10 Conference Quarterfinals

The AIC Men's soccer team dropped a tough game in the Northeast-10 conference quarterfinals against #19 nationally ranked Merrimack this past Tuesday, November 1 2016. The final score of the game was 2-0. Merrimack went up 1-0 fifteen minutes into the game and shortly after AIC received a red card. AIC battled it out playing with one less man but could not pull the upset off and eventually ended up losing 2-0.

#NEWERA

Despite the disappointing loss in the first round of playoffs this a huge step in the right direction for the Yellowjackets mens soccer program. It is only the second season Head Coach Luke Perry has taken over the helm of the AIC men's soccer program and has already brought the program to playoffs and one of the highest regular season finishes in program history, finishing in 7th place. Graduating only a couple of seniors, the team still has many returners coming. Their top 3 leaders in points on the team were Jake Durham, Steven Hernandez and Alejandro Alvarez. Two being freshmen and one being a sophomore. The team is very young and there are high hopes to return even stronger next year.
